Learn to knit mittens at the Eureka library

Mary McSweeney will be conducting a three evening series of knitting classes at the Eureka Public Library beginning at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 10 on knitting mittens. By attending Oct. 10, 17 and 24, participants can plan to complete a set a mittens in time to have warm hands before the snow flies. Cost for the knitting series is $20 and should be paid at the Library when registering for the classes. The necessary supplies include worsted weight yarn, size 5 double point needles and a darning needle. Those interested in knitting mittens should have a basic knowledge of knitting.
