Amazon Kindle Fire and iPad are topics at Eureka Public Library Technology Night.

The Eureka Public Library will be holding a “technology information” evening at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The evening starts with “Introducing the New Amazon Kindle Fire” at 6:30 p.m., followed by “Ipad Instructions” at 7 p.m. The goal of the evening is to give a general introduction and answer some brief questions about both devices.

The iPad and the Fire are two of many devices that can be used as ereaders. Eureka Public Library is part of the Alliance Digital Media Library (ADML), a consortium of libraries that purchases and supplies ebooks and audiobooks available as a free checkout with a library card. Additional information on other readers and ADML be found at alliance.lib.overdrive.com or at the Eureka Public Library.
