The gift card bouquet worth more than $500 that will be raffled off at Old Settler’s Days on June 24 by the Metamora Woman’s Club to find summer scholarships for Metamora Township High School students.

This June at Old Settlers you have a chance to be a lucky winner who will be able to pamper your family and friends all summer with more than $500 worth of gift cards and certificates to restaurants, gas stations, beauty shops, and local businesses.

When you purchase a ticket for the Woman’s Club Gift Card Bouquet Raffle, you may be treating yourself and helping others at the same time since the ticket profits go to sponsor summer scholarships for Metamora High School students.

Local businesses such as Casey’s, Redbird Express Mart, Geo’s, Curves, Cheryl Ricca, Metamora IGA, Didley’s, Alwan’s, Lil’ Mak’s Pizza, Flame Family Restaurant, Michael’s Italian Feast, Aztekita, Burkholder, Village Hair Designe, Salon 7, Color 4 Hair, Subway, and Kroger have given generously to donate gift cards for this project.

LogoWear and Menards have also provided merchandise which will be drawn separately for second and third prizes.

The Metamora Woman’s Club is a not-for-profit club that has been serving the Metamora-Germantown Hills area for more than 50 years.

We have been involved in many philanthropic endeavors throughout the communities.

Each year we sponsor Metamora High School students with summer scholarships in leadership, speech, music, or conservation.

In order to raise funds for these scholarships and other service projects, we have had a yearly American Girl doll raffle at the Metamora Old Settlers Days.

The doll of 2012 is McKenna, a fourth-grade gymnast from Seattle. She comes complete with several clothing changes and a book about her life.

Tickets for either of these raffles can be purchased at the Metamora Woman’s Club booth at Old Settlers for $2 each, three for $5, or six for $10.

If you need tickets ahead of time, contact Sandy at 367-2642 in the evening or 367-4594 during the day.

The winner’s names will be drawn on June 23.

You do not need to be present to win. Enjoy the Old Settlers Festival, sign up for the drawings, and support your local businesses, organizations and students.
