Readers are gobbling up more books at the Eureka Public Library.

The fourth week of the Summer Reading Program begins with Make-it Take-it on Monday.

Crafters can go to the library anytime between 1:30-4:30 p.m. to make a food label picture frame.

A special Story Time on Tuesday will feature guest readers from the library’s Yahoos! group. Preschoolers ages 3 through kindergarten will meet at the library at 10 a.m. for stories and a craft.

Munch-a-Lunch Picnic Bunch meets on June 27. Readers who have completed grades 1-6 should take lunch, drink and something to sit on to the library at 11:30 a.m.

At noon, Janet Hodel, representing the Illinois Soybean Association, will present “From Pod to Plate,” the story of soybeans and how they are used.

Eureka High School FFA members will be featured at Farm Animal Fun Day on June 28.

Readers should go to Davenport School for a 1 p.m. program showcasing FFA members and their animal projects.

Readers can turn in Week 4 book logs for prizes and pick up new coloring sheets and word activities.

One of the prizes for the week will be a “prize bag” prepared and donated by Woodford County Farm Bureau.

Featured books on display for the week will include books about farming and agriculture.

Readers can also check out a variety of fun activity books.

Anyone with questions about Summer Reading can call the library at 467-2922.
