Junior Woman’s Club installs officers
The GFWC Illinois Metamora-Germantown Hills Junior Woman’s Club met May 21 at Basta O’Neill’s in Washington for the Installation Banquet of new officers for the 2012-2013 club year.
Becky Weber, GFWC Director Elect of Junior Clubs, installed the following new officers: Donna Cross, president; Kathleen Tyrala, vice president; Diane Wipfler, secretary; and Cathy Gregait, treasurer.
Standing Committee chairmen were introduced as follows: Avenue of Flags, Cathy Gregait; Budget, Cathy Gregait; Bylaws, Diane Wipfler; Community Improvement Program, Rae McGough; Junior of the Year Award, Melissa Rhoades; Outstanding Service Award, Donna Cross; Newsletter, Kate Doran; Parliamentary Advisor, Nancy Rodier; Reporting, Kathleen Nackers; and Webmaster, Nancy Rodier.
The General Federation of Women’s Clubs, one of the world’s largest and oldest women’s volunteer community service organizations, was founded in 1890 and is headquartered in Washington, DC. GFWC has more than 100,000 members in affiliated clubs in every state and over a dozen countries.
