Parade, kids’ tent raffle winners announced

The Old Settler’s Committee has announced the parade float winners, along with the winners of the kids’ tent raffles.

At the parade, Salon Seven took first in the commercial float division, with Contech coming in second.

The Metamora Township High School Marching Band took the top place in the marching/walking unit, while the MAST Swim Team took second.

The non-commercial float division saw Noah’s Ark take first place and Cub Scouts Troop No. 3064 take second.

Deppert’s 1925 Fire Truck took first in the antique auto/tractor display, and Steve Schierer’s tractor grabbed second.

Finally, Heinold Heating and Air took first in the other division with their homemade robot, and the GFWC Junior Women’s Club took second.

At the kids’ tent, Joey Bay won the bear, Tyler Laukshow won the candy basket, Noah Schmidt won the cotton candy basket, Marisa Kinder won the arts and craft basket, Abbi Kennel won the swim basket and Maddie Petty correctly guessed the Skittles.

The committee would like to thank all who visited the kids’ tent on Friday and Saturday.  This event is sponsored by The Metamora Old Settler’s Committee.

In addition, the Old Settler’s Committee thanks the community for their support of Old Settler’s Days.  Thanks to the fairgoers the committee will be able to continue to make improvements to the Square.
