Eureka library summer reading events
The fifth week of the Summer Reading Program at the Eureka Public Library means more books and fun for summer readers. Crafters can honor America’s birthday at Make-it Take-it on Monday by going to the library anytime between 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. Featured craft will be a red, white and blue star-studded lei.
Story Time on Tuesday will be all about summer with guest reader Stacy Kinney presenting stories followed by a watermelon craft. Preschoolers ages 3 through kindergarten will meet at the library at 10 a.m. for Story Time.
There will be no Munch-A-Lunch Picnic Bunch during the fifth week as the library will be closed for the July 4th holiday.
Thursday Fun Day will be Movie and Popcorn on July 5. Featured presentation will be “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs”, beginning at 1 p.m. Readers can bring a drink and popcorn will be provided.
Readers can turn in Week 5 book logs for prizes and pick up new coloring sheets and word activities. Featured books on display for the week will include cookbooks and other food fun. Activity books will also be available to check out and try some summer games, crafts and experiments.
Anyone with questions about Summer Reading can call the library at 467-2922.
