Tiny Tot and Pet winners announced for Old Settler's Days

The GFWC Illinois Metamora-Germantown Hills Junior Woman’s Club is pleased to announce the boy, girl and pet winners of the 2012 Tiny Tots/Pets Contest, held during Old Settler’s Days.

First-place boy award for the greatest number of votes goes to Ryan Marchand, the son of Patrick and Holly Marchand of Metamora, with 18,306 votes.

The first-place girl award with the greatest number of votes went to Allison Grebner, daughter of Clarence and Sarah Grebner of East Peoria, with

6,595 votes.

The first-place pet award went to Harley Baker, pet of Tom and Kayla Baker of Metamora, with 5,501 votes.

Ryan and Allison will receive $50 cash; compliments of the Junior Woman’s Club, and Harley will receive a gift basket from Pet Pantry.

A total of $400 (reflecting 40,000 votes) was received in the final voting.

These funds will go toward Mended Hearts of Metamora.

The club would like to congratulate Ryan, Allison and Harley and thank the community for its generous response to this fundraising effort.
