Woodford County Fair starts Tuesday at Farm Bureau Park

THREE EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

1. One of the biggest 4-H fairs in Illinois kicks off Tuesday in Eureka with the Woodford County Fair. While judging for events starts Tuesday, check-in for horses, beef, goats, poultry, rabbits, sheep, swine and many general projects go throughout the day on Monday.

2. Judging on Tuesday starts with the swine show at 8 a.m. and goes throughout the day until the market lamb weigh-in at 6 p.m. Entertainment also starts at 6 p.m. At 2:30 p.m., there is a kid’s tractor pull in the pavilion.

3. Wednesday features another full day of judging, complete with a dairy show at 2 p.m. At 7 p.m. trophies will be presented to all the winners of the various categories in the Exhibit Buildings. A Fashion Revue will follow the presentation. Two categories, cat care and small animals, will be judged Thursday. There will also be a rabbit show at 8 a.m. and beef show at 10 a.m. All State Fair qualifying exhibits will be shown in Springfield on Aug. 10, except for welding, which will be shown Aug. 11, and Geospatial and Video, which will be shown Aug. 10-11. Dog obedience will be Aug. 25 at the fair.
