Encouraging Readers, Any Way We Can

We had a really great week last week at the Library. It was wonderful weather for the most part which makes it hard on some of us to come to work…something about 65 degrees in March I guess. But it was a really encouraging week to be at work because we were busy with events, and busy with people coming in and out of the library!

I have a few pictures I want to share with you, to give you an idea of what has been happening here at the Library. I know I plugged our “Love Your Library” February reading contest pretty heavily early in February. We had over 50 people complete the program and turn in cards for the gift basket drawing. We gave out a ton more cards to interested people the beginning of February, and know many of those people started the program, but got distracted. On Monday we drew for the winner of our Longaberger gift basket with the cute little teapot and cup. And the winner was….Robin Robinson! I’ll add a picture of Robin, as she came through on Wednesday to pick up her prize. I guarantee she was smiling as she came in the door. It was especially sweet for us to see Robin as our winner as she is a fantastic library user, often stopping in several times a week and many times with her children as well. Congratulations!
