Alcohol survey leads to arrests

Illinois State Police Zone 4 Peoria Agents conducted Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement surveys at various establishments during the evening hours of March 15 in Tazewell and Peoria County.

The purpose of these surveys is to determine which establishments may be selling alcoholic beverages to minors (persons under 21 years of age).

A total of three locations were surveyed in Tazewell County and six locations in Peoria County. 

Of those establishments surveyed, Embassy Suites, 100 Conference Center Drive, E.Peoria, Hotel Pere Marquette, 501 Main Street, Peoria, Ramada Inn, 4400 N. Brandywine Drive, Peoria, and Radisson Hotel, 117 N. Western Ave., Peoria were involved in the sale of an alcoholic beverage to a minor. 

Employees, Melody Esler (Embassy Suites), Gregory Beach (Hotel Pere Marquette), Janice Doza (Ramada Inn) and Trisha Clewell (Radisson Hotel) were arrested for unlawful delivery of alcoholic liquor to a minor, a Class A misdemeanor. All subjects were released on a notice to appear in court.
