For the sixth year in a row, the varsity speech and drama team at Eureka High School earned the honor of being an IHSA all academic team (at least a 3.0 gpa). This year’s team had a cumulative grade-point average of 3.73 throughout their season. This is only the sixth year for the award by the IHSA, and the team has earned it all six years. Pictured in the front row are: Erik Slingerland (son of Bill and Margo Slingerland of Goodfield), Mark Crenshaw (son of David and Mary Anne Crenshaw of Eureka), Brett Roth (son of Alan and JoAnne Roth of Congerville), Emily Rhoades (daughter of Paul and Janet Wilkins of Eureka), and Savannah Boisseau (daughter of Tim and Sue Boisseau of Eureka).
