Scholastic Bowl members bring home honors

Eureka High School is sending out congratulations to the Fresh-Soph Scholastic Bowl team on winning their first tournament of the year at Midwest Central Saturday. The team beat IVC, Porta, Midwest Central, and Peoria Heights, only falling to Peoria Christian. Top individual honors went to Anna Boggs with nine tossups and Ross Hettinger with four. Also medaling were Erick Slingerland, Rebekah Coons, Jonah Martz, Dylan Knapp, and Steven Slingerland. The JV team of juniors was 3-2 for the day, also beating IVC, Midwest Central, and Peoria Heights. Thompson Zhuang won top honors with nine tossups, with Belle Moushon second with five.
