Eureka hosts Reagan Fest this weekend

1. Area residents can check out the annual Reagan Festival Friday and Saturday at Lower Lake Park in Eureka. The two-day event will be highlighted by the inclusion of a zip line, a first for the festival. There will also be carnival games and inflatables, along with a Funbelieveable Parade at 6 p.m. Friday.

2. At 7 p.m. on Friday, the Reagan Idol Karaoke Competition will kick off at the Beer Garden. Twenty people, age 21 and over, will compete to win the $100 grand prize. The 2011 Reagan Idol winner will be on hand to help guest judge the competition.

3. Saturday features the Kids Have Talent competition at 12:30 p.m. at the Main Stage. Fifteen children will have three minutes to share their talents on stage, with the first-place winner walking away with $25.
