The Friends of the EPLD Book Sale will be held at the Eureka Public Library on Thursday and Friday.

The Library will have books, assorted office equipment, and Life magazines going back to 1936.

“The Life Magazines will be a treasure to either collectors or someone who would like to commemorate a special milestone for a loved one, such as a birthday or an anniversary,” said Nancy Scott, Library Director.

The magazines feature iconic cover photographs from Winston Churchill to Michael Jackson.

Over 500 issues are available from 1936 to 2000, and prices will range from $2 to $10 dollar per issue.

If you are a member of the Friends group, you will have exclusive access to a special pre-sale from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday.

The sale will be opened to the public from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday.

From 3-4 p.m. on Friday will be a special $2 bag sale.

All proceeds will be used by the Friends of EPLD to support library collection and equipment acquisitions.

Friends members also receive a special gift each year; this year each member will be given a copy of the Library’s new cookbook — Reading Is So Delicious, featuring over 500 recipes from our community.

Annual dues to be a Friends member are only $15; stop by the Library today to become a member in time to enjoy the pre-sale.
