Junior Woman’s Encore Club installs new officers for year

The GFWC Illinois Junior Woman’s Encore Club met Aug. 21 at Basta O’Neill’s in Washington for the Installation Banquet of new officers for the 2012-2013 club year.

Nancy Rodier, GFWC Illinois Past 17th Junior District Director of Junior Clubs, installed the following new officers: Lynne Swanson, President; Beckie Christensen, Vice President; Sue Hawk, Secretary; and Teresa Osterloo, Treasurer.       

The General Federation of Women’s Clubs, one of the world’s largest and oldest women’s volunteer community service organizations, was founded in 1890 and is headquartered in Washington, DC.

GFWC has more than 100,000 members in affiliated clubs in every state and over a dozen countries.

The GFWC Illinois Junior Woman’s Encore Club invites any GFWC member who was or is a member for a minimum of two years and is 35 years or older is eligible to apply for membership.
