Obituary: Ruth Gramm, 101, of Eureka

GRIDLEY — Ruth I. Gramm, 101, of Eureka, formerly of Gridley, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at the Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka where she was a resident.

Born Feb. 10, 1910, in Gridley, to Christian and Catherine Rich Bucher, she married Henry “Hank” Gramm Aug. 27, 1932, in Rockford. He died Oct. 23, 1989.

Surviving are one daughter, Jane (Ron) Cloat of West Peoria; one son, Jack Gramm of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Willis “Butch;” one brother; and four sisters.

Ruth worked for G.E. in Bloomington for 16 years as an assembler.

She was a member of the Gridley Apostolic Christian Church where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 9. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9-10:45 a.m. on Thursday at the church before the service. Burial will be in Gridley Cemetery. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso is handling the arrangements for the family.
