Obituary: Karen Blunier, 48, of Morton

MORTON — Karen Jean Blunier, 48, of Morton, formerly of Eureka, died at 5:11 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, after a brief hospitalization at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born Jan. 14, 1963, in Peoria, to Henry O. and Wilma M. Bauer Blunier.

She is survived by her mother, Wilma M. Blunier of Eureka; and five sisters, Nancy Knepp of Washington; Evie (Randy) Mogler of Morton; Dori Blunier and Edie (Tom) Stoller both of Eureka; Marge (Adam) Parmenter of Kalamazoo, Mich.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Karen graduated from Woodmore School in Eureka in 1984. She then moved to Morton where she lived at Apostolic Christian Timber Ridge for 10 years, Linden Estate for 13 years, and her Oklahoma home for two years. She worked at Parc for 25 years and attended the Eureka and Washington Apostolic Christian Churches and Sunday Schools.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at the Apostolic Christian Church of Eureka. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka and from 9-9:45 a.m. at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in Roanoke Apostolic Christian Cemetery.
