Obituary: Joy Petit, 65, Germantown Hills

Joy A. Petit, 64, of Wentzville, Mo., formerly of Germantown Hills and Peoria, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at her home.

Born Aug. 3, 1948, in Freeport to Robert L. and Delpha R. (Wood) Williams, she married Ronald Petit on Oct. 19, 1968, in Park Forest. He survives.

Also surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Fawn D. (Petit) Zobel and Harold Zobel of Warrenton, Mo.; two grandsons; her mother, Delpha Williams; and five brothers, Glenn Williams of Bay Village, Ohio, Brian Williams of Havre, Mont., Ethan Williams of Bourbonnais, Grant Williams of Momence and Leigh Williams of Steger; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and her sister, Kimberly (Williams) Garnier.

She was a 1982 graduate of Illinois State University and, after graduating, worked as the assistant director of the Methodist Medical Center Residency Program for Doctors and as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative for the Johnson and Johnson Pharmaceutical Company, where she received many sales awards.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in Park Forest and Wentzville, Mo.
