Obituary: Harold Strickfaden, 83, Metamora

METAMORA — Harold A. Strickfaden, 83, of Metamora, formerly of Pekin, died at 8:30 p.m. Dec. 15, 2012, at his home.

Born July 17, 1929, in Groveland to George and Maria (Brecher) Strickfaden, he married Lois Anderson on Sept. 12, 1954, at Zion Evangelical United Methodist Church in rural Pekin. She survives.

Also surviving are his daughter, Debbie (Kevin) Rauh of Metamora; two sons, Tom Strickfaden of Peoria and Greg (Marilyn) Strickfaden of Hanna City; and four grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and Roy Strickfaden; and two sisters, Mary Reynolds and Sarah Strickfaden.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Zion Evangelical United Methodist Church in rural Pekin, with the Rev. Dan Lybarger and the Rev. Phil Icenogle officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton, and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Zion Evangelical United Methodist Church Cemetery.
