Obituary: Ina Garber, 98, Eureka

EUREKA — Ina Garber, 98, of Eureka, formerly of Morton, died at 4:40 a.m. on Monday at Maple Lawn Health Center in Eureka.

 Born June 30, 1914, in Minier to Asa and Elizebeth (Egli) Nafziger, she married Ora Garber on Nov. 24, 1955, in Hopedale. He preceded her in death in 1967.

 She also was preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Shirley Roth; two brothers; and two sisters.

 Surviving are her stepdaughter, Virginia (Bob) Weaver of Peoria; eight step grandchildren; one brother, Orval Nafziger of Eureka; and many nieces and nephews.

 Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday in Memorial Hall at Maple Lawn in Eureka, with Pastor Doane Brubaker officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the hall. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Tremont. Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton is handling arrangements.

 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maple Lawn Health Center, 700 N. Main St., Eureka, IL 61530.
