Middle class dictates economy
I read your article about the Trickle-Down theory in the Woodford Times. I pretty much agree with you that it is the middle class that dictates how our economy is doing. We are the people, who need to be buying. Since, there are less of us now, than a few years ago and our incomes are less; we are not able to purchase as many things. Therefore, the economy is not recovering very fast.
There was a letter in Saturday’s (9/1/12) Peoria Journal Star that made a case for the view that a better life will trickle down from the wealthiest is not happening.
