The Eureka High School softball team upset Peoria Christian 2-1 in the Regional semifinal game May 16 before losing to state-ranked Farmington 5-0 in the Regional championship game the next day. The Hornets finished the season with a 12-19 record. Senior Angie Burns led the Hornets with a .475 batting average, 48 hits and .471 on-base percentage. She also stole a team-high nine bases. Jessa Wakid led the team with 25 runs scored and a 95.7 fielding percentage. Lexi Litwiller led the team with three home runs, five doubles, five triples and 20 RBIs. She also had a team-high .595 slugging percentage.
