Two annual high-profile East Peoria golf tournaments are upcoming at Quail Meadows Golf Course.

The East Peoria Open & City Championship will be conducted Saturday and Sunday.

Amateur men and women ages 15 and older are invited.

The $20 entry fee includes: a greens fee rate of $15 per day, a small bucket of range balls daily and cart rental is optional.

There are no greens fees either day for season pass and player’s card holders.

The registration deadline is Wednesday.

There are four divisions: men’s and women’s (ages 15-54) and senior men’s and women’s (ages 55 and older).

The day-one format for qualifying features: tee times beginning at 7 a.m., play starting at the first hole and an optional $5 skins game within divisions.

The Sunday play includes: tee times beginning at 6:30 a.m. and flights determined by Saturday’s score.

Championship Flight qualifiers will be paired according to score.

All other flights will play with their requested group from the previous day.

Tee times for the second round will be available by 5 p.m. Saturday.

Players are asked to check in 30 minutes before their tee time.

Anyone arriving late for their starting time will be disqualified.

There will be a champion crowned in each division of the open.

East Peoria residents also will compete for the city championship.

Prizes will be awarded to first through third places in each flight of each division.

There are hole contests July 24.

Tee times for the first round will be set by Thursday.

 Contestants should call 694-3139.

All players wishing to compete should fill out the entry form (located at www.quailmeadowsgolf.com/calendar) and return, with payment to: Quail Meadows Golf Course, 2215 Centennial Drive, Washington, IL, 61571.

In 2011, Andrew Wuethrich won the East Peoria Open with a 69 and Chris Frasco (76) and Judy Coker (89) claimed Men’s and Women’s City titles, respectively.

Severe weather the second day caused the tournament to be shortened to 18 holes.

Male and female golfers ages 11-18 are invited.

The entry fee for boys and girls is $15 for 18 holes (ages 15-18) and $10 for nine holes (ages 11-14).

The fees are reduced to $5 for player’s card and season-pass holders.

The deadline to register is Sunday.

There are four divisions (11-12, 13-14, 15-16 and 17-18) available. Trophies will be awarded to the top-three finishers in each age group.

All girls will play the red tees.

The two oldest boys categories will play the white tees, while the youngest sets begin from the gold markers.

Tee times begin at 9 a.m., and players are requested to check in 15 minutes before their assigned slot.

Tee times will be available after 10 a.m. Monday by calling 694-3139.

Each linkster will receive a hot dog, chips, cookie and soda.
