Metamora ties for All-Sports
Metamora Township High School and Washington Community High School tied in the Mid-Illini Conference All-Sports award for the 2013-14 school year.
It is the second tie to occur in the M-I history. The first was in 1996 when Metamora shared the spot with Morton.
Metamora held the title for the past 11 of 12 years.
Metamora accounted for 4,250 points in the fall, 1,200 in the winter and 3,400 in the spring to total for 8,850 points to share with title with the Panthers.
The Redbirds were first in points in boys cross country, girls soccer and boys tennis.
They were close seconds in volleyball, boys basketball, and girls and boys track and field.
