Metamora cheerleaders invited to perform at Capital One Bowl

The varsity football cheerleading squad is one of various squads throughout the country invited to perform in the pre-game performance as a trophy winner from Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) summer camps.
The squad of 12 cheerleaders, their coach and other adult family members will travel as a group to Orlando, Fla. for a week of rehearsals dedicated to preparing them for their Capital One Bowl pre-game performance.
The hours of rehearsals will be well worth the effort when they perform in front of tens of thousands of fans at this major college football event, televised on ABC.
While in town, they will also have the chance to visit central Florida’s famed theme parks.
The cost of travel and accommodations is being fundraised by the varsity squad.
On Thursday the squad will have a fundraiser held in the Monte Christo Room in Germantown Hills. There will be a buffet 4:30-7:30 p.m. with spaghetti, subs, salad, garlic bread and drinks.
Prices for adults will be $10 and kids between 4-10 will cost $7.
