Lady Redbird soccer earns one last M-I win, 4-0

One last win was posted to the Metamora varsity girls soccer team record before post-season action started.

A 4-0 win over Limestone brought the girls record to 10-3-1 overall and 6-0-1 in the Mid-Illini Conference to finish the regular season.

Brittany Johnson put the pressure on the Rockets defense with 12 shots and three shots on gaol. Peyton Roehnelt had seven shots and three shots on goal to finish the game.

The Lady Redbirds’ defense held Limestone to zero shots in the 80 minutes.

Johnson had an early start in the game to put the first goal in at 4:35.

Roehnelt had Metamora’s next at 19:42 and Sammy Morgan had the last one in the first half at 33:41 assisted by Johnson.

In the second half, Kari Lalumandier was able to get one in at the 66-minute mark.

Metamora finished the match with 26 shots and 10 on goal.
