The Metamora volleyball team finally found a solution for Washington on Thursday.

After losing to the Panthers twice this season, Metamora beat Washington in two sets, 25-12, 25-20.

“We were pretty prepared tonight,” Metamora coach Karla Bartman said. “We did cut down on unforced errors and didn’t let their serves get on a roll.”

Leading the attack for the Redbirds was Abby Barrow with nine kills. However, Barrow didn’t do it alone.

“We spread the ball,” Bartman said, “and Cassidy Ioerger (seven kills) made a big difference.”

Taylor Kells had 26 assists four aces and five, while both Barrow and Ioerger had three blocks.

Washington’s sophomore (25-19, 25-15) and freshmen (25-17, 21-25, 15-11) teams beat Metamora.
